MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE
Conventional advertising hasn’t helped control the opioid epidemic. What might help, is a real conversation between real people. And who better to convey that message to a potential addict than someone who has been in their shoes?
The Ask: Create an innovative idea that raises awareness of opioid overdose risk while reducing the stigma associated with it.
The Idea: Message in a Bottle. A purple (the official color of Opioid awareness) bottle to accompany every orange prescription bottle, with a message inside from a former addict.
Behind the Scenes: As my partner and I came up with this idea fairly late in the game, we rushed to create this submission video in the few hours before entries were officially due — given the results, we’re very happy we did!
